Rory Mullis is a Freshman at Davidson College from Mooresville, NC. Rory is currently studying Psychology and Biology.

Why did you want to intern at the art gallery?

“I like art and wanted to be involved with art on campus”

Who is your favorite artist? Why?

“Kehinde Wiley, because I really like what he does with posing, composition, and pattern and the meaning behind his art.”

What is your earliest memory of art?

“Watching my kindergarten teacher draw pictures for kids”

Favorite piece of art on campus?

“Wind Sculpture I”

What is your favorite thing about working in the art gallery?

“Getting to spend a lot more time with artists and their exhibits than I normally would”

What are you most excited to do this semester in the art gallery (or in art in general)?

“Help Set up Exhibits and watch all the things that come and go”
