In the third installment of our intern interviews, meet Blanchard Seniff (’22) and learn about his connection to both art history and studio art (and his colorblindness!)

Name: Blanchard Seniff

Major?: Art History

Why did you intern in the gallery?: to learn more about possible ways to apply my art history major to real-world jobs.

What has been your favorite memory from the job?: Being very hands-on with real artwork in the private collection and with on-campus installations.

Do you plan to pursue anything in the arts post-grad? If not, what are your plans?: I am planning on applying for a post-graduate art history degree.

Favorite artist/work and why?: Delacroix and Rodin because of their respective revolutionary technique, subject matter, and medium.

Hobbies?: Painting, drawing, golf, surfing, and watching movies.

Little known fact about you?: I love painting and I am very colorblind.

And finally, if you could have a meal with anyone dead or alive, who would it be and why?: Bethany Hamilton because she has an incredible story and because of her lessons about overcoming unlucky experiences.
