Rusty as hell and full of lather and hairs and crap, a solo exhibition by Teresa Lacks ’15, is part of an on-going series of Senior Studio Art Major exhibitions in the Edward M. Smith Gallery. Lacks’ work surrounds the Misattribution of Arousal theory, or the idea that humans often react to artificial environmental cues and create feelings based off these cues that we assume originated internally. She uses this idea in connection with present-day observations, as well as with some of her own childhood memories that she distinctively associates with bizarre or uncomfortable emotions.
