The Van Every/Smith Galleries and the Davidson College Art Department will present our Annual Student Art Exhibition in the Van Every Gallery from April 13 to May 5, 2022.

The Annual Student Art Exhibition highlights more than 60 works produced during the academic year by both art majors and non art-majors at Davidson College. Works on view have been selected by the studio art faculty and include drawings, paintings, sculptures, prints, digital art and more.

Awards will be selected and presented by guest juror Jonell Logan, VP and Creative Director, McColl Center, Charlotte, NC. Logan is an arts advocate dedicated to supporting artists, transforming communities, and creating accessible creative spaces. Originally from New York, Logan worked at several arts organizations including The Metropolitan Museum of Art; Whitney Museum of Art; Studio Museum in Harlem. Moving South, she worked at the the Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, South Carolina; and the Harvey B. Gantt Center for African American History and Culture in Charlotte, North Carolina before taking her to role at the McColl Center.
