2011 Student Art Exhibition

The 2011 STUDENT ART EXHIBITION highlights works produced during the academic year by both art majors and non-majors. An opening reception will be held for student artists on Thursday, April 28 from 7–9 p.m. in the VAC. Guest juror and contemporary artist Tom Sachs will be on hand to help announce student awards at 7:40 p.m. Sponsored by the Art Department, the Davidson College Friends of the Arts, and through the generosity of Elena M. Paul ’85. All programs of the Van Every/Smith Galleries are FREE and all are welcome!

Guest juror Toms Sachs will discuss his work and current collaboration with NASA and the Jet Propulsion Lab on Thursday, April 28 during the Common Hour (11 a.m. to noon) in the Semans Lecture Hall of the Katherine and Tom Belk Visual Arts Center (VAC). His visit to Davidson College is supported by the Art Department, The Friends of the Arts, and Elena M. Paul ’85.
